Sevilla's outside chance of beating Real Madrid and Barcelona to the La Liga title has suffered a double blow with the news that Frederic Kanoute and Alexander Kerzhakov will miss Saturday's trip to Real Mallorca.
Sevilla's first choice strikeforce will miss the vital clash as Mali striker Kanoute (knee) and Russian forward Kerzhakov (ankle) both returned from international duty carrying knocks.
Brazilian Luis Fabiano and Uruguayan Ernesto Chevanton are expected to start in attack for a match Juande Ramos' side has to win to stand any chance of title glory.
"We can't feel sorry for ourselves, it is normal for players to pick up injuries especially on international duty," said Ramos.
"We have players to take their place. Kanoute has missed many games for us this season and we are still up there challenging. We should forget about it."
